Perfect inspiration for me...

Dear Valuable Girl,

You have the right to choose the kind of friends who get to be close in your life. It is an honor to be in your inner circle. You have the right to be treated with kindness, respect, love and support. You have the right to feel safe in your relationships, free from harsh judgment and free from manipulative communication.

Please do not allow yourself, amazing girl, to be abused by anyone that you have the choice and power to free yourself from. No one has the right to point out your weaknesses, to abuse your weaknesses, to make you feel small or to continuously bring up a past that you are growing out of. No one has the right to manipulate you, to cruelly make fun of you or to cross your personal boundaries. No one.

You are worth what it takes to set boundaries with others. You are worth protecting. Just like you would never allow someone you love to be treated disrespectfully or with cruelty...please do not allow yourself to be treated in ways that minimize and devastate the incredible human being that you are.

Spend time with others who remind you of your potential, who help you to live your dreams and your values, who silently help you with your weaknesses and who lift you when you are down. None of us need any help aside from the help of our creator, knowing where we are weak. None of us need our mistakes and frailties constantly pointed out to us by someone who has no business pointing them out...we are well aware of them and work daily to overcome them. Choose to be with those who show you where you are strong.

Friendship should not hurt.
Protect your beautiful soul, dear one....it is so precious and important.
Never let anyone blow out your beautiful light. You are LOVED.
xoxo

Be driven

"Get going. Move forward. Aim High. Plan a takeoff. Don't just sit on the runway and hope someone will come along and push the airplane. It simply won't happen. Change your attitude and gain some altitude. Believe me, you'll love it up here."

- Donald J. Trump -

Dirty Dancing

DIRTY DANCING
First dance... first love... the time of your life!
DIRTY DANCING is the unprecedented classic love story about Baby and Johnny, two fiercely independent young spirits from different worlds, who come together in what will be the most challenging and triumphant summer of their lives.
The on-stage experience fuses heart-pounding music, passionate romance and sensationally sexy dancing to the hit songs of “Hungry Eyes”, “Hey Baby”, “Do You Love Me?” and the heart stopping “Time Of My Life.”
Dirty Dancing on stage is a re-imagining of the film, adapted for the stage by the same woman who brought it to the big screen in 1987, Eleanor Bergstein.

Last night we attended the show at the Teatro at Monte Casino with Aunts & Uncles - Brenda, Lawrence, Gertie and Brian.  This was really an excellent show and we had a lovely evening.

We had our Sister's Dinner at Casa Rossi, an Italian Restaurant that has been revived to it's old self by its owners.  The food was absolutely delicious and I'm sure we will all be going back with our families to enjoy!

Happy 80th Birthday Aunty Ria!!

We decided to go to Durban to visit Aunty Ria for her 80th birthday.  With her birthday being on Monday 1st October, we thought it would be good to visit her on the weekend as Monday is always hectic for us.

We flew down on Friday night and stayed at the City Lodge in Umhlanga Ridge.  The hotel was lovely and situated in walking distance from Gateway - my favorite shopping centre!

The view from our room

On Saturday morning we went for breakfast and did some shopping.  Then we were off to visit Aunty Ria.  We had a lovely afternoon chatting and catching up.  We hadn't seen her in eactly a year so there was lots to chat about!

My darling Aunty Ria

Saturday evening we went for dinner at Primi.  We had a long, relaxed dinner and Mr Zee even had a few beers - AMAZING!

Sunday morning we were up and ready to head back home.  We had breakfast at the hotel, then I had a quick walk on the beach and we were off to the Airport.

Sea sand on my feet - I love it!

A perfect day

I got to do the three things I wanted - visit, shop and walk on the beach so all in all it was a perfect weekend for me!

Giving

This is one of the most beautiful quotes ever!

"Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go."

Sister's Dinner September

Wendy suggested The Fishmonger for our monthly Sister's Dinner.  The portions were huge and we all ended up taking half our meals home for the hungry masses!

To get pictures is always a challenge however we managed to finally get these!

Administrative Professionals Day aka Secretary's Day

"National Professional Secretaries Week and National Secretary's Day was created  in 1952 through the work of Harry F. Klemfuss of Young and Rubicam. Klemfuss recognized the importance and value of the position to a company or business. His goal was to encourage more women to become secretaries. Using his skill and experience in public relations, Klemfuss, promoted the values and importance of the job of secretaries. In doing so, he also created the holiday in recognition of the importance of secretaries. Today,  the title is changing and evolving. But, the recognition is equally important. There are two new terms in use today. They are "Administrative Professionals" and "Executive Admins". The two names sometimes mean different roles and responsibilities to different companies. Both are broader terms, that encompass more positions than the original "Secretary" role. The name change recognizes and acknowledges that the role has changed significantly since 1952, and for the better at that. And in Harry Klemfuss' day, these postions were the realm of women. Today, you find some males in these positions."

I was surprised by my bosses on Secretary's Day with these stunning flowers!

Nick, Rob and Dean really do appreciate all I do for them!
