A hectic and emotional day!

Today was a mixed bag of emotions for me.

I didn't have to go into the office first thing so I went to the bank and then Anthony's birthday party at his school.  My beautiful grandson Anthony turned 4 today!  I cannot believe how the time has flown past.  He has grown into such an intelligent young boy and I love him with all my heart.  He had the best time and got beautiful gifts.  The little children at the school are are all too cute.

From the birthday party I went past the hospital to see my Mom before she went into theatre for her bladder operation.  I am such a baby and I love my Mom so very much.

From there I went to the stationery store to get some things my boss needed and then it was off to the office.  I only got in at 1 and form then till 4:30 it was flat-out!

I got home at 5:20 and called the hospital and my Mom was still not out of theatre and then I was in a state.  Visiting hours are from 7 but I went to the hospital anyway and waited for my Mom to come out.  Lynn, Richie, Connor and I waited patiently...  I was absolutely thrilled and relieved when they wheeled her out - she was awake and fine.  My prayers were answered!!  Norma, Dean and Marisa also popped in for a visit and Mom was really happy to see them.

I finally got home around 9:30 and had some time to relax!

Slightly overwhelmed...

I am feeling "slightly overwhelmed" today.  My mind is full of new things I am learning on a daily basis and it all needs to settle in and fall into place VERY quickly!

Dean and Marisa went to Ballito on holiday last week.  They had really good weather as you can see from their "bronze bodies"...

My new office

I am enjoying my new office and learning so much every day! I am using my COURAGE muscle and it's getting stronger every day.

However, I think I am going to make a proposal to the powers that be to ban all trucks and taxi's from using the highways!!!

Mine is a sentence not a word for 2012...

Courage to overcome my fears and focus on what is important!

I had thought of "overcoming" as my word for 2012 as I have some fears I need to face.  After some thought and discussions I came up with my sentence.

I have some overwhelming fears that I need to address.  With our office having moved to Bedfordview the best way to get there is on the highway so I need to get to grips with the traffic and my fear of the speed at which people travel on this very busy highway.

I know that I will eventually get over this but for now it's very daunting.

21 today!!

Today my beautiful niece Taryn turns 21!  I spoke to her on the telephone and amazingly enough it has been a whole year since we last saw her.  She has grown into a stunning young woman and I love her to bits.
