Sister's Dinner - July

Tonight was our monthly Sister's Dinner and we decided to go to The Promise Grill in Meyersdal.

We had a lovely evening chatting and catching up.

Living a Thankful Life

Life is not about finding the right person,

but creating the right relationship.

It's not about how we care in the beginning,

but how much we grow and nourish one another in a relationship.

Some people will throw stones in your path...

It depends on what you do with them - build a wall or a bridge?

Remember you are the architect of your life.

Search a beautiful heart, not a beautiful face

because beautiful things won't last forever...

but a golden heart does and will prosper you and add value to yourself.

It's not important to hold all the good cards in life.

But it's important how well you play the cards which you hold.

Often we lose all hope and think this is the end,

God whispers "Relax, it's just a bend, not the end"

Have faith, keep faith and see what God will do for you.

One of the basic differences between God and man is

God gives, gives, gives and forgives

But man get, gets gets and forgets.

25th Wedding Anniversay - Renewing of Vows

Lynn and Richie have been married for an amazing 25 years.  They renewed their vows on Sunday in a beautiful ceremony held at Valverde Country Estate.

After the ceremony we were treated to a delicious brunch.  It was wonderful to see our whole family together and enjoy this special day together.

Happy Father's Day

We invited our children over for lunch to celebrate Father's Day.  I made roast chicken and veggies and for dessert we had Malva pudding with ice-cream and custard.  Gordon was spoilt with stunning gifts and was kept busy the whole afternoon by the grandsons. 

I found this Father's Day wish and thought it was really sweet:

Sister's Dinner

We tried a new Indian Restaurant called Taj for our dinner last night.  The samoosas we had for starters were delicious! I enjoyed my lamb chops, but if we go there again I will definitely have whatever Wends had!

Catching up...

I am amazed that it has been almost 4 weeks since my last post!  My days are pretty busy and by the time I get home I just haven't had the energy to post.  However, I have been very busy eliminating jobs from my "TO DO"" list and I'm feeling really good about that.  Every day I am making a point of getting at least one item sorted out.

Top of my list was to get the blinds in my kitchen cleaned.  So I finally convinced my hunny to take them down and I spent a good few hours scrubbing them - they look brand new now.

Norma had given me a huge pile of magazines and they had been sitting under my desk for ages.  Over a couple of evening I paged thru them and then took them to Marlene's Nursey School.  Little people always need magazines. We got to sit and have tea and a long chat! So that was two things in one.

Gina moved to a new home and Dean, Wesley, Janice and I helped her move. They called me "The Project Manager" for the day.  We got so much sorted out and packed away.  By the time we left her new home was looking really good.

I am working on getting my scrapbooking in order to get back into creating some pages.  I don't have too much space so I really need to get it all in order.  I don't think I have completed a page since around February!!

It's absolutely freezing here - Winter has definitely arrived with a venegance!!  Keep warm!!
